Gustav Perman
Gustav Perman, at times Featheryank, is a composer, artist and multi-instrumentalist experimenting in the avant-garde, sound art, multimedial and noise field.
Projects range from theoretical modernist critiques to genderqueer experimental minimalism, and takes inspirations from composers such as Santa Buss and Chaya Czernowin.
Gustav has begun the journey of Transitions, an undertaking of fifteen chapters, each consisting of minimalist portrayals of flux identities.
Vinter till Vår is taking inspiration from the classic Japanese ambient composers such as Hiroshi Yoshimura and Susumu Yokata, with compositional influences from classical minimalism, while the audiovisual Höst has its foot in harsh noise.
Right now studying BA in composition at Högskolan för Scen och Musik, Gustav analyse modernism through a 2020 lens, mixing musique concrète with interactive soundinstallation and today’s avant garde.
